Andrea Lekić becomes General Manager of Serbia’s Women’s National Teams
The Board of the Handball Federation of Serbia has appointed Andrea Lekić as the general manager of all women’s national team selections.
“A new chapter in my career begins, and I am very happy that it will be within Serbian handball. I am aware of the weight and responsibility of this job, but I am ready to work with full dedication from day one,” said Andrea Lekić.
When speaking about her ambitions, the former captain of Serbia’s national team emphasized:
“The goals, just like when I was on the court, are always high. Now I am primarily focused on the prosperity of handball, expanding the base, and working with youth teams. I have plans and a vision of how this should look. I believe we have quality and promising youth teams, and with good work that is already visible, I want these children to grow into good and quality players. That should be our common goal.”
One of the best players in the world concluded:
“I am happy that I will be building the handball future in my own country, and I believe that with a team of experts and the right people, we will go step by step toward achieving our goals.”
