Andrea Lekic to miss Women’s EHF CL 2016/17 start

One of the biggest women’s handball stars, Andrea Lekic, had a surgery of meniscus on her left knee and won’t be able to help her team-mates in ZRK Vardar Skopje at the start of the Women’s EHF Champions League campaign 2016/2017. The 29-years old Serbian playmaker will be out from four to six weeks, according the first prognosis.

She will miss the opener of the European season against Hungarian FTC at home, but also away match against German Thuringer.

Lekic had also surgery on Achille tendon on the same leg only three months ago.

She one IHF World Handball Player title in 2013.
