Antonio Garcia Robledo is the new player of HBC Nantes.
The 35-years old Spanish back-line player will join the new team in order to help them to stay competitive with PSG Handball and Montpellier Handball in the race for the best in French handball.
Robledo is coming from the Spanish BM Granollers.
“We wanted to complete the workforce on the rear base this summer, but we had to find a versatile player. Also, we did not want to rush. When the opportunity to bring Antonio came, we did not hesitate. Beyond the quality he will bring to the base, his experience will be very valuable in a rejuvenated workforce this year. He knows the French championship, the European Cup, several players of the collective and also the coach. In short, it has many assets that will allow it to integrate quickly. I thank the BM Granollers club and its leaders who made this transfer feasible, said HBC Nantes president, Gaël Pelletier, writes handnews.fr.
HBC Nantes lost two important players in the back-line this summer, Claire and Lagarde.
Robledo won the gold medal at World Championship 2013 in Barcelona.
