It’s a matchday! You wake up with this thought every morning when your team play. You put on the shirt of team, the scarf, the cap and you are ready to go. The loudest spactators need a little preparation before the show… A pub near the Aréna is the best choice to drink a beer to make the vocal cords ready. It’s interesting to take part in it, because you can hear some strange gossips, for example that László Nagy will be Veszprém’s new coach after his retiring…Who knows?
It’s 4 p.m. One hour before the match of the week in the EHF VELUX Champions League. MKB-MVM Veszprém against Rhein-Neckar Löwen. The fans throng the Veszprém Aréna.
Everybody thinks that Veszprém will be the winner, only the captain, László Nagy is wise. „It’s the hardest thing to play against a German team, who lost a point at home in the previous round.” He was right!
At 5 p.m. the show starts. 60 minutes of the highest level and pace of handball with the biggest stars: Momir Ilic, László Nagy, Mirko Alilovic, Uwe Gensheimer, Niklas Landin and Bjarte Myrhol. This match is a handball fiesta in a fantastic atmosphere. During the derby the teams show dozens of tactical variations and of course the fans have ideas too. Beyond the supporting they always advise Carlos Ortega in the matter of the players and the line-up. With or without these suggestions Veszprém finally wins the match and gets two very important points much to the delight of the 5000 spectators.
It’s time to celebrate! The two teams showed a great performance and the winners thank for supporting.
After the euphoria the fans don’t want to go home, so they go back to the pub to drink one more beer…
