Detono Zagreb rules in the Beach Handball

Ahead of the 2011 European Beach Handball Championships in Umag, Croatia this summer, Detono Zagreb have taken both the men’s and women’s titles in the traditional highlight of the Beach Handball club season, the EBT Finals.

The two teams from the capital city of Croatia took part in an action-packed weekend featuring 16 teams (eight men and eight women), who qualified through their EBT performances throughout last season, competing for the top prize.

The male team of Detono Zagreb retained their 2010 title, beating Greece side Panaitolikos, whilst the females beat AWF Wrozlaw from Poland to take the title from holders Playadettes & Playacanteras, champions in 2010.
