The young teams of Qatari El Jaish Sports Club and Swedish Lund will play at the final of the 1st International Youth Handball Tournament in Doha powered by El Jaish Sports Club. Both teams won their preliminary groups with two wins each.
Swedish team beat Egyptian Aviation 20:18 in the battle for the first place in the group, while El Jaish outplayed El Wahda from UAE 26:21 in the decisive clash for the placement at the final.
The winners of the tournament will get prize money of 10.000 Qatari Riyals – about 2.500 EUR.
SCHEDULE OF THE FINAL DAY:
Fifth place match: Forshaga (SWE) – Al Jazira (UAE) – 9.00
Third place match: Al Wahda (UAE) – Aviation (EGY) 10.30
FINAL: Lund (SWE) – El Jaish (QAT) – 12.00
The 1st International Youth Handball Tournament in Doha was visited by the International Handball Federation President Hassan Mustafa and first man of the Qatari Handball Association, Ahmad Al Shaabi. They were welcomed by El Jaish Sports Club president Khalid Seif Al-Kuwari.
