A lot of attention received the news from Zagreb last week regarding Barcelona’s possible entrance to the regional SEHA league, that intends to have teams from Hungary, Serbia and Poland as well, and GAZPROM as sponsor. However, when it comes to FC Barcelona, there’s definitely no chance for them playing in it next season, as Xavier O’Callaghan discussed with Handball Woche:
“We got the invitation, but because of the playing calendar in the other competitions, unabled us to play in the regional SEHA league, and unfortunately, it will be impossible for us to play in this competition” – said one of the most important people in Barcelona’s management, formerly a player for German Handball Magazine, Handball Woche.
