Flensburg Overtakes Kiel, Magdeburg and Berlin Keep Pace in Bundesliga Race

SG Flensburg’s victory over THW Kiel caused a change at the top of the Bundesliga table, but Magdeburg kept the pressure on — with one game in hand and potentially a point more than their biggest rivals. The team from the GETEC Arena celebrated a 39:30 win over Bergischer, with Croatian national team goalkeeper Matej Mandić putting on a great performance with 14 saves. After his strong display in Denmark against GOG, Mandić has now clearly found his rhythm in the shirt of his new club.
Füchse Berlin demolished Minden 42:27.
Gummersbach was convincing in Göppingen with a 36:24 win, staying near the top.
Wetzlar fell apart in the second half against HSV Hamburg, losing 25:35, while the most interesting match was in Lemgo, where the home team defeated Stuttgart 32:30.
