German Handball Super Cup 2025 at SAP Garden in Munchen

The German Handball Super Cup will take place in Munich for the first time on August 23, 2025, at the SAP Garden. Both the men’s (HBL) and women’s (HBF) leagues have committed to hosting the event in the high-tech arena for at least two years.
The Super Cup marks the season opener, featuring the reigning champions and cup winners in a direct clash for the first title of the season.
HBL CEO Frank Bohmann highlighted Munich’s strong handball enthusiasm, while HBF CEO Christoph Wendt emphasized the arena’s ideal conditions for a major event uniting men’s and women’s teams.
Previously held in Düsseldorf, the Super Cup’s relocation aligns with Munich’s growing role in hosting major handball events, including the 2027 Handball World Championship.
