The great experience brought by the 1st International Uniqa camp of handball goalkeepers last summer in Makarska, will have its continuation in June, when the organizers have in mind to bring again the world’s best goalkeepers and introduce them to young talents from all around Europe, only this time – the organizers intend to make it much more massive event. The only new thing is that there will be two sessions, on 7 days period, the first period – for boys, the the second period – for girls. The accent will be put on educating the coaches, which will have the opportunity to attend the whole course of the camp, and will also have open meetings organized for them, in which they will be able to speak with the goalkeepers and the lecturers.
Last year, the seaside of the Adriatic was visited by Thierry Omeyer, Daniel Saric, Mirko Alilovic, Nikola Blazicko, Dragan Jerkovic, Abas Arslanagic, Mirko Basic and many other well-known coaches and goalkeepers. This was accompanied with a humanitarian game in which Cavar, Saracevic, Metlicic, Vukovic and many others took part. The event was justifiably called “the handball event of the summer 2011”.
The organizers are still not “disclosing” the names of the coaches the promoters, but it’s certain that the participants will have the chance to meet again with the world’s handball and coaching legends. The point is to learn from the best, and having in mind last-year’s experience, the participants will surely get that:
– Last year we had to stop certain number of applications, in order to preserve quality over quantity, and work could be prompty done. That’s why I call on all interested to apply this year as soon as possible so they can assure themself a handball summer in Makarska – said one of the organizers, Dragan Vukovic, and added:
– We kept the promise and this year we introduced girl’s working camp. Considering last-year’s interest, we expect a big responce to this type of camp this year.
