Beautiful summer resort on Adriatic coast, City of Makarska are becoming the place famous for handball events. After 15 years long tradition of International Youth Tournament and and world’s famous International Camp for Handball Goalkeepers, handball people there will organize the first Master Handball Tournament in May 2013.
– If we look in the past, we can’t say that former handball players had many possibilities to gather and play. That’s why we are ready to start with the project of serious tournament for older handball players, both male and female. We want to make strong event, internationaly recognized, where will play the best teams from Balkan area, but also from the other part of Europe. As destination, Makarska has perfect sports and other conditions to be a good host – says Dragan Vuković, co-organiser of International Camp for Handball Goalkeepers, who will be involved in this project.
– There are a lot of older handball legends, who weren’t on the court since the end of proffesional careers. There are also a lot of teams, who even don’t have any kind of master sections.
