Lino Cervar about EHF EURO 2012: Croatia was ready for Gold!

One of the most succesful Handball coaches in the last decade, Lino Cervar, talked for Radio Nasice about development of Handball in Macedonia and also a Croatian “missed chance” for the Gold medal at the EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia:

– These EHF EURO 2012 was the best moments of our sports in Macedonian history.  That you could see on the faces of the ordinary people. Metalurg has 7000 spectators on the matches in the EHF Champions League and as you could see, in Belgrade, Macedonia had support of 10.000 fans. Handball means a lot to small country as Macedonia – said Cervar and also commented Croatian bronze medal…

– Continuity in winning medal is good, after a small crisis in Sweden last year. We took the medal with bitterness, because Croatia was ready for Gold.  We had all the aces up to sleeve and then came that unlucky match against Serbia…

Lino Cerver is the best coach in the world. We Macedonians are very proud to have him as our coach for Metalurg Skopje. If he stays in a couple of years we will be champions of the European champions handball league. Is a good developer coach and strategic coach and a good motivator. He has full support of the fans of Metalurg and we wish him many happiness in his career and personal life. Pozdrav Makedonska Falanga.
