“I Don’t Fully Agree” – Jacobsen on Mensah’s Farewell to Denmark

Mads Mensah Larsen has played his final match for the Danish national team. Although winning European Championship gold at the Jyske Bank Box in Herning was a perfect ending to a great story, the experienced back’s decision still came as a surprise to head coach Nikolaj Jacobsen.
The Danish coach does not hide that he would have liked Mensah to remain part of the national team for a while longer:
“It came as a bit of a surprise to me when Mads said he felt it was the right time to stop. I told him I don’t know if I fully agree with that decision, but of course I respect it,” Jacobsen said.
