Marcin Lijewski to Plock: “Trophies, Cadenas and family…”

One of the world’s best right back, Marcin Lijewski (37) decided to get back home and sign contract with Polish vice-champion, Orlen Wisla Plock.  He spent fantastic 11 seasons in the DKB Bundesliga with SG Flensburg and HSV Handball, where he won everything possible, championship title and EHF Champions League. After he turned down offers from HSV and THW Kiel, Orlen Wisla Plock has got one great player who will be helpful on their way to the EHF Champions League.

– My decision was influenced by several reasons. One of them because Wisla has a chance to win the Polish Championship. Another advantage was a person of Manolo Cadenas, famous person in the handball world. At the end, Plock is close to Gdansk and my family in Ostrow – said Lijewski at official presentation.

Orlen Wisla Plock will play two matches for the placement at Velux EHF Champions League against French Montpellier.
