Russia looking for a new head-coach – Kuleshov resigns

Oleg Kuleshov resigned from the position of the Rusian national team head-coach. Former NT playmaker overtook the team before the World Championship in Spain 2013 after legendary Vladimir Maximov failed to qualify for the Olympic Games in London. The first competition was the most successful since Russians played in quarter-final where they lost against Slovenia, but then were a lot of rumours about the relationship between Kuleshov and some important players.

However, Russia made a nice success by placement at the Main Round of the Men’s EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark. That wasn’t good enough to stay on the winning line as Dibirov and Co. underperformed by winning 19th place at WCh 2015 in Qatar.

Russia weren’t on the necessary level in the decisive match for TOP 16 place against Argentina 30:27. After that defeat, Russian boys lost again against Czech Republic…
