PGE Vive Kielce have stayed without major sponsor VIVE after 20 years of a successful partnership. However, president of the club and representative of sponsor, Bertus Servaas stayed on the helm with promotion of action of help of society for the club.
The collection’s online account has over PLN 450,000. The effect of support from PGE Kielce fans exceeded the expectations of the club’s authorities. Fans are doing their best to save the seventeen-time Polish champion who has dominated the PGNiG Superliga competition since 2012.
The Kielce club on YouTube has published a video in which they thank the supporters for the support they received and urge them to become even bigger.
– I am the happiest president in the whole world. I would like to thank everyone who gave me money. We play together and this is the most important thing – said Servaas.
– Many people ask me why is this screenshot? The club exists for 50 years, for 20 years my company was a sponsor, including 18 titular years. In my opinion, this club gives so much to the city, province and country that we have a shared responsibility, not just mine. It is the success of us all. We worked together on this. I love this club and I love this sport. We want to win the Champions League and we can only achieve it together – he added in the video.
Karol Bielecki , one of the legends of not only Kielce but also Polish handball, urges fans to support .
– Kielce handball shaped me as a man and athlete. She gave me everything I had achieved in my life and the tools to become a professional athlete. The huge history of this club motivates to be part of it and fight for its future. We must take responsibility for handball in Kielce. Every zloty matters. It would be a great tragedy if this club could not be saved – said legendary player.
