The small country in the middle of Europe, somewhere between Balkans and Alpes, Slovenia, is the epicenter of TOP handball in this moment. Famous for three strong teams with international success, RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko, RK Gorenje Velenje and RK Krim Mercator, the country of 2.000.000 people is capable to attract the best handball teams across Europe due fantastic conditions for the pre-season period.
The mountain Rogla (over 1.500 meters), but also Kranjska Gora (above 800m) are the places where teams like Telekom Veszprem, Paris Saint Germain, RK PPD Zagreb, RK Vardar Skopje, RK Gorenje Velenje setting their form before the long and exhausting season. Will one of these teams remember summer 2017 and Slovenia in the best possible way after next year’s EHF CL Final4 in Cologne, like Vardar already did in the last season?
Beside them, in Slovenia are also Romanian Dobrogea Sud and Maccabi Rishon.
