THE END in Portugal without champions and relegation

The Handball, Basketball, Hockey (hall) and Volleyball Federations came together to jointly resolve situations related to national competitions.

Having adopted a set of principles that will apply to the respective competitive frameworks, namely, to conclude all national competitions of the 2019/20 season, not to award any title of national champion in any category of the competitions, with no relegation and as for the division promotion, establishment of qualifying competitions for the respective climbs at all competitive levels and, finally, regarding international representation in European competitions 2020/21, the sporting criterion of classification at the time of suspension of the respective competitions.

Elite handball league will have 16 instead of 14 teams.

Porto Sofarma will play at EHF Champions League 2020/2021.
