Three years in a row Swiss champion Kadetten Schaffhausen struggling to keep domination on the national level. After bad season at the VELUX EHF Champions League, where team didn’t qualify for the TOP 16 after two good years, Kadetten also lost a chance to have advantage of home court at the domestic Play-Off. Many injuries, but above all, “no form” was the main reason why the best Swiss squad didn’t find the rhythm through the season. Management already made some changes – coach Hrachovec was sacked, but team didn’t react properly.
After defeat in the Cup Final against Wacker Thun 30:26 last weeekend – “alarm is activated”. In the finish of the season, Matjaz Tominec will lead the team from the bench. Experienced Slovenian coach had the biggest success with Cimos Koper, with whom he won the Championship title in Slovenia. He also worked in German MT Melsungen.
His son Nik Tominec also playing in Kadetten.

In the battle for the Swiss title, Kadetten will be without Christian Dissinger. One of the best young German players suffered knee injury during Swiss Cup semi-final match last Saturday. He already was out in season 2011/2012 due knee injury, but now he injured right knee. Left back will be out for a few months for sure…
