Head-coach Kristjan Andrésson and Martin Boquist extended their contracts with the Swedish Handball Federation until Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Icelander made a good intro on his new job by winning sixth place at World Championship 2017 in France, where Sweden were the toughest challenge for France on their way to the gold at Bercy.
“It was very easy decision”, announced SHF.
Sweden are in the very tough group at Men’s EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia together with home team, Iceland and Serbia.
Until the end of their mandate, coaching duo will have a chance to lead “three crowns” boys at Men’s EHF EURO 2020 at home. Tournament will be organized in cooperation with Austria and Norway.
Andresson overtook Swedish NT in September 2016.
