WHRL goes further – Romanians want to play from the next season

Hypo, Krim Ljubljana and Podravka left project of Women’s Handball Regional League, but in the area of former Yugoslavia still exist enough teams to form solid competition for the upcoming season. Eight teams from three countries (Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia) were drawn in Jagodina, one of the new teams, vice-champion of Serbia.

– I don’t feel happy because the teams from Slovenia and Croatia left the competition, but there is an interest from Romania, that their teams strength League from the next season. Three national champions will play in League this year and for my Radnicki Beograd is very important to be among the best – said Svetlana Ceca Kitic, the best female handball player in the History by IHF, president of legendary team from 80’s, Radnicki Beograd.

Third season of WHRL will start on 10th of September. WHRL members are: Buducnost Podgorica and Biseri Pljevlja (Montenegro), Metalurg Skopje and Zito Prilep (Macedonia), Zajecar, Jagodina, Knjaz Milos and Radnicki Beograd (Serbia).
