Legendary Russian goalie Andrei Lavrov, three times Olympic winner, commented the next rival of his national team – Slovenia, in eight-final match in Paris on Saturday, 20.45.
- I saw Slovenia in match against Spain 26:36. Spanish goalkeeper was fantastic, nevertheless, Slovenians did not show class which would terrify Russia. It is absolutely possible for us to beat them. Our team have to fight, to play a handball. Victory in the 1/8 finals will give the necessary confidence – concludes Lavrov.
Russia won third place in Group A in Nantes behind France and Norway.
