Organization of the Women’s EHF EURO 2020 in Denmark and Norway planned for December 3-20 is in danger.
The Danish Handball Association president Per Bertelsen has stated for “BT” that “organization of the European Handball Championship must also make economic sense.
Without financial guarantees from the European Handball Federation EHF, Denmark may withdraw from hosting the European Championship.
“We will do everything we can to run the tournament. But it also has to make financial sense for us. If this is not the case, another country will certainly take over for us, in which the costs are not as high as ours, ”says Per Bertelsen.
