“Don’t call us Cowboys anymore” – Croatian Handball Federation send message to domestic media!

Croatia Handball Federation have asked domestic media to stop calling their national team “Cowboys”.
– Referring to the numerous headlines and articles in the media that mention the nickname Cowboys for the Croatian men’s senior national team, on behalf of the national team members, the coaching staff and the federation, please do not use that nickname for the name of the national team, considering that the current players were not part of the generation when the aforementioned nickname was created – stay in the statement of the Federation.
The nickname “Cowboys” gave legendary Ivano Balic during World Championship 2009 in Croatia.
