The Serbian national team line-player Dragana Cvijic will try to help her team CSM Bucharest in Women’s EHF Champions League quarter-final against Metz Handball despite injury which will have to be solved with surgery. Injured knee needs intervention, but before that, the 29-years old line-player will try to achieve season’s goal with Romanian champions:
- We agreed to try to help in the quarterfinal against Metz – said Cvijic for Balkan-Handball.com and added:
Operation is needed. A part of cartilage is broken since preparation for the EHF EURO 2018. Since January, I have been struggling, and even then I was told that it had to be an operation, but I did not want to. I wanted to prolong it by the end of the season, however, they started so much pain that the pills did not help. Now my knee is stiff and I have to practically make surgery as soon as I can, because it does not help any more. I will do this in Denmark, with a doctor I have already been with – said Dragana Cvijic.
CSM Bucharest and Metz Handball will meet on April 5 and 12.
