Oli Mitun Guides GOG Gudme to First Champions League Win in Bitola

Oli Mittun arrived as a joker in Bitola, despite not being fully recovered from injury, and played for GOG Gudme in the victory over Eurofarm Pelister (28:31) in the EHF Champions League.

After the match, the Scandinavian team’s player did not hide his satisfaction with GOG Gudme’s triumph in the hot atmosphere of the packed “Boro Curlevski” arena.

“Pelister is a tough team to play against. They play rough, they give 100% in every duel. It’s difficult to prepare for such an away match. This is a different type of game compared to those played in Denmark. We know that we are much faster than them, and I think we took great advantage of that. They couldn’t keep up with us in man-to-man play, which was positive for us. We kept our cool and didn’t lose ourselves in an atmosphere where even bigger names have fallen, and that is very positive for us,” said Mittun.

For GOG Gudme, this was the first victory in this season’s Champions League after two opening defeats, and the team hopes this will mark the beginning of a positive run.
