ASOBAL 2020/2021 will be played in the new format with 18 teams, but in which one, that will decide Assembly of the Spanish Handball Federation since association of the teams didn’t confirm their suggestion.
The first option season will be played in round-robin format – 34 rounds (13 of 16 teams supported this), while the second is group system (two groups with nine teams) with the “upper part” (8 best teams) and “lower part” (10 teams – relegation battle) in the second part of the season.
