The former Olympic winner from Los Angeles 1984, now in role of Slovenian national team coach, Veselin Vujovic, critized the organisation of Olympics in Rio for domestic media:
- We don’t know “who drinks and who pays for it”. This are my fourth Olympic Games, but surely the worst so far. This is at least my first impression. I hope it will be better, but it seems that Olympic Gmes for Brazilians are simply too big bite – said Vujovic for SIOL.net and added:
- A good example is our friendly match against Denmark. We couldn’t get into locker room, then we were able to play 50 instead of 60 minutes. There is also transportation problems. The constant waiting for something. Rooms? We have to clean them, also to use “Balkan tricks” for towels and Internet. At first glance everything is nice and colorful, but it’s not at the level of Olympic Games – concluded Vujovic.
Men’s tournament starts on Sunday, August 7.
