HISTORY! Denmark take Olympic gold!

The first ever Olympic medal and the first gold! Denmark won the big final over France 28:26 (16:14) at Future Arena in Rio! Gudmundur Gudmundson and his guys wrote the new, golden chapter of the handbal and sports history…

The Danish team was better side tonight in the last match of the Men’s Olympic tournament bringing golden medals to Copenhagen, just like their girls did 12 years ago in Athens.

France team had Daniel Narcisse in the first half, some saves of Omeyer, which gave them 13:11 in 25th minute, but Olsen, Mikkel Hansen and their perfect cooperation with the line where Henrik Toft Hansen was impressive, was something which made turnover….
